World Army Diving Competitions Held in Kish, Top Tourism Event 98
The second edition of the World Army Diving Competition in August this year will be a new attraction, like the air show, in Coral Island tourism.
Kish Coral Island, located in the Persian Gulf, is a showcase for the country and has many capabilities and capabilities. With a little attention to these capabilities, many tourist attractions can be created to attract domestic and foreign tourists by holding national and international competitions.
Holding airshow competitions is one of these attractions that has been able to attract a large audience of both locals and tourists over the past years.
Undoubtedly, holding competitions such as the World Army Diving Competition, like the Air Show, can gradually find its own audience and increase the fame and reputation of Kish Island as one of the important international events.
Accurate, transparent, and comprehensive information about such programs can, in addition to attracting a large audience, provide fans with sufficient information about the manner and quality of these competitions.
In recent days, the presence of equipment for holding diving competitions has raised concerns and some doubts about the potential damage caused by this equipment and the holding of competitions. However, based on studies and research conducted by some officials on Kish Island as well as the organizers of the competitions, it was determined that this equipment will not cause any problems for the large recreational pier of Kish.
Considering that every year a large number of Kish residents and tourists hold large gatherings of several thousand people on this pier, it shows that this beautiful pier has a high tolerance capacity. Otherwise, the authorities would not have granted permission for several thousand people to attend and hold a march on the beautiful and large recreational pier of Kish.
The fourth edition of the World Army Diving Competition will be held on Kish Island in August this year, with the participation of 160 divers from 10 countries.
According to the organizing officials, more than 40 referees are responsible for judging these competitions, and 200 armed forces support personnel are also participating in holding these competitions.
A conference with the presence of supervisors, coaches, and athletes in the Persian Gulf Hall of the Kish International Conference Center and an exhibition on the customs, traditions, culture, and handicrafts of different countries in cooperation with the Kish Investment and Development Company will be among the side programs of these competitions.
The first World Diving Competition was held last year in Nowshahr, hosted by the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In response to Russia’s request to hold the competition in open waters, and based on studies and investigations, and considering the capabilities and capacities of Kish Island, this island was chosen as the country’s showcase for holding this competition.
Participants in this round of competitions competed in seven deep diving categories, including obstacle course, underwater welding and cutting, flange (a type of fastener), submarine and sunken ship rescue, confined space work, and CPR diver rescue. The Islamic Republic of Iran Army team won first place in the deep diving category and achieved fifth place overall in the world.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Navy also won the championship in 2016 and 2017.
This competition is being held on Kish Island with the support of the CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the unity and empathy of the organizations, and the support of the media.
